Knowing that we can make a difference in this world is a great motivator. How can we know this and not be involved?
It was all calm
Beautiful on saturday, 50 degrees and some were even wearing shorts
Then this happened on Sunday:
Which ended with no sleep, constant tones dropping, and hating anyone that was given a drivers license.
I am pager bound tonight. :/

Well said. And the same goes for medical emergencies!
You know why I dont object to calling out people who I feel arent cut out for this job? Things like this.
You may roll up on something you’ve seen 10 times that week alone. But the minute that you forget that this is the FIRST time that your patient is dealing with it, is the minute you need to reevaluate your career choice.
Every single fucking day on the job, police, fire, ems, you’re encountering someone when they may have hit rock bottom, or have just lived thru the scariest fucking thing they have ever dealt with. You need to realize that you get invited into someones existence during the worst day of their life. If you cant handle that with the respect it deserves, you hang up your badge and you go find another job that doesnt have that kind of responsibility.
